Something good about Mississippi
A fading sunset across the 'North Farm' of Mississippi State.
Jess drinks beer!
Jess tries a micro-brewed pale at Blackstone brewery in Nashville! Oh, and an onion ring too!
Ryan in Nashville!
It's Jess with her sister Meg and nephew Ryan at a park in downtown Nashville. Jess's dad had bypass surgery last week and after a little scare, woke up from anesthesia on Sunday and is doing well! we decided to take a little walk around Centennial Park while waiting for the next visitation period. ![]()
200,000!
Well, the old Civic hit the big 200,000 this week! Took her about 12 years to get there, which is quite a few miles per year. Her outside is showing her age a little but she still runs great! Here's to making it to 300,000!

Video Extravaganza!
I've seen some good videos over the past few days and weeks, so I thought I would share!
First, I found this great political group called Public Service Administration that has made some pretty good videos that can be found on YouTube. Here are a few!
This first one has some foul language, but there is an edited version available here.
And here are a couple jabs at Hillary:

The following post was made by making a phone call to a new service called Jott. Jott is essentially a voice-to-text translation service and can be used to send emails, messages to others, reminders to yourself, and they recently added the ability to integrate with other services, such as WordPress blogs! So, I set it up and figured I would try it out while I was driving to Knoxville. I've crossed out and replaced words that it didn't transcribe correctly, but overall it is pretty impressive. I also realized that there is a time limit, so this was originally three posts that I've made into one!

This is the second test. If you wait too long in between your sinisters(?) sentences, it thinks your finished and will send the it to text. So this is-- I have to think quickly and I'm not good at thinking on my feet. I just wanted test this out and see how it work. You can use it to send yourself reminders, it send... listen
I think there may be a time limit on the this as well. It might be about 30 seconds to 60 seconds. Either way, I guess this is for jotting things down instead of a longer blog post. So, that's all I have to say. listen

Cleaning the apartment
I'm procrastinating cleaning the apartment by blogging about getting motivated to clean the apartment. Yeah, it's bad. Jess is in Knoxville for another three weeks doing a couple of advanced clinical rotations at the University of Tennessee. She is doing an ophthalmology and dermatology rotation, each lasting a couple of weeks. So I've got lots of time to get it done, but somehow these things always creep up on me sort of like those research papers in undergrad that I had every intention of starting three weeks early and somehow ended up starting on the day before they were due. Ah, good times. Wish me luck!
